BPSSC Bihar Police SI 2026 : Age Limit

• Minimum Age Limit : 20 Years
• Maximum Age Limit : 37 Years
• Age Cut-off Date: Age calculation will be done as on 01 August 2025.
• Age relaxation extra will be granted as per the standard Bihar Government service rules.

BPSSC Vacancy Details & Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree (Any Graduate) in any stream from a recognized University / Institute in India.
• Educational Qualification eligibility status must be fulfilled as on 01.08.2026.

How To Fill Bihar Police SI Daroga Online Form 2026

• • Visit the official BPSSC website and apply between 09 July 2026 to 09 August 2026.
  • Fill out only one online application form. Multiple applications will be rejected.
  • Enter your personal and educational details correctly, and upload the required photograph and signature.
  • Pay the ₹100 application fee through the online payment mode.
  • Submit the application form and take a printout of the submitted form and payment receipt for future reference.

BPSSC Bihar Police SI 2026 Selection Process & Exam Scheme

• The selection process for Bihar Police Sub-Inspector (SI) Recruitment 2026 will be completed in the following stages:

  1. Application Scrutiny

  All online applications will be verified to ensure candidates meet the prescribed eligibility criteria.

  2. Preliminary Written Examination

  • Objective Type Exam
  • 100 Questions | 200 Marks
  • Duration: 2 Hours
  • Subjects: General Knowledge, Current Affairs, English, Hindi, and Reasoning
  • Candidates must secure at least 30% marks to qualify.

  3. Main Written Examination

  Paper-I (Objective)

  • 200 Questions | 200 Marks
  • Duration: 3 Hours
  • Subjects: General Studies, Mathematics, Reasoning, English, Hindi, and Bihar General Knowledge
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.

  Paper-II (Descriptive)

  • 50 Marks
  • Duration: 1 Hour
  • Includes Essay Writing, Precis Writing, and Translation (Hindi/English).

  4. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

  Qualified candidates will undergo the Physical Efficiency Test and Physical Measurement Test (PMT), including Height, Chest (Male), and Weight (Female). This stage is qualifying in nature.

  5. Merit List

  The final merit list will be prepared based on Main Written Examination marks. In case of a tie, age and educational qualification will be considered.

  6. Medical Examination & Character Verification

  Candidates shortlisted in the merit list must clear the Medical Examination and Character Verification before final appointment.
