CAPF Medical Officer Vacancy, Pay Scale & Eligibility Details

• Super Specialist Medical Officer (Second-in-Command)

  Pay Scale: Level-12 – ₹78,800 to ₹2,09,200 under the 7th CPC.

  Qualification: Candidates must possess an MBBS or equivalent medical degree, along with a Postgraduate Degree/Diploma in the relevant specialty and DM/M.Ch or equivalent super-specialty qualification. Required professional experience and valid registration with NMC/State Medical Council or other recognized authority are mandatory.

• Specialist Medical Officer (Deputy Commandant)

  Pay Scale: Level-11 – ₹67,700 to ₹2,08,700 under the 7th CPC.

  Qualification: Applicants must have an MBBS degree followed by a recognized Postgraduate Degree/Diploma in the concerned specialty. Candidates must also meet the prescribed post-qualification experience requirement and hold valid medical registration

• Pay Scale: Level-10 – ₹56,100 to ₹1,77,500 under the 7th CPC.

  Qualification: Candidates should possess a recognized MBBS Degree or equivalent qualification and must have completed the prescribed compulsory rotatory internship. Valid registration with the appropriate Medical Council is also required.

CAPF Medical Officer Selection Process

• Stage 1: Documentation & Interview

  Candidates will first undergo Document Verification, where educational qualifications, medical registration, experience certificates, category certificates, and other required documents will be checked. Eligible candidates will then appear for a Personal Interview, where their professional knowledge and suitability for the post will be assessed.

  Stage 2: Physical Standard Test (PST)

  Candidates shortlisted after the interview will undergo the Physical Standard Test (PST). Their height, weight, and other prescribed physical standards will be checked according to CAPF recruitment rules.

  Stage 3: Medical Examination Test (MET)

  Candidates qualifying the previous stages will undergo a detailed Medical Examination Test (MET) to determine their medical fitness as per CAPF standards.

  Final Selection: The final merit list will be prepared according to the selection criteria, interview performance, medical fitness, vacancy availability, and applicable recruitment rules.

  • Apply online between 10 August 2026 (00:01 AM) and 08 September 2026 (11:59 PM).
  • Fill in your personal details, educational qualifications, experience details, and NMC/State Medical Council registration information carefully.
  • Upload the required documents, including recent photograph, signature, MBBS/PG/Super-Specialty certificates, and Medical Registration Certificate, as applicable.
  • Pay the ₹400 application fee online for UR/OBC/EWS male candidates. SC/ST, female and eligible Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from the fee.
  • Review all information and uploaded documents before final submission.
