SSB Selection Process Stages

• Stage 1: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST)

  Candidates will first undergo the PET and PST. PET assesses the candidate’s physical efficiency through prescribed activities such as running, walking, or other post-specific physical tasks, while PST checks physical standards such as height, chest, and weight, wherever applicable.

  Stage 2: Written Examination

  Candidates who qualify the PET/PST will proceed to the Written Examination. The test generally evaluates candidates through objective-type questions based on the post-specific syllabus, general knowledge, reasoning, numerical ability, and relevant technical knowledge, as applicable.

  Stage 3: Document Verification

  Candidates shortlisted after the written examination will be called for Document Verification (DV). Original educational certificates, age proof, identity proof, category certificates, experience documents, and other required credentials will be verified.

  Stage 4: DME / RME

  Candidates who clear the previous stages will undergo a Detailed Medical Examination (DME). Candidates declared medically unfit may be given an opportunity for a Review Medical Examination (RME) according to the applicable SSB rules.

  Final Selection: The final merit/selection will be made after successful completion of the prescribed stages, document verification, medical fitness, and fulfillment of all eligibility conditions

How to Check SSB PET PST Schedule & Download Admit Card

• • Visit the official SSB Recruitment Portal at recruitment.ssb.gov.in.
  • Open the SSB PET/PST 2026 Notice / Admit Card link.
  • Enter your Registration ID, Password/Date of Birth, and Captcha as required.
  • After login, check your PET/PST exam date, reporting time, examination centre, and venue details.
  • Download the SSB PET/PST Admit Card 2026 and take a clear printout.
  • Carry the admit card along with a valid original photo ID proof and other required documents to the physical test centre.
